We're always adding new features to our applications and here's a couple of new features that we'd like to tell you about.

In our applications such as the Product Manager and our Photo Gallery Manager, you can now upload a picture, which will be resized and optimized to be displayed as normal, however you can now also select to keep a full quality resolution image to be made available for download. For our Product Manager the file will appear in the Download TAB and for the Photo Gallery Manager a download option will be included in the Picture Description.

So if you upload a high quality image of your product or a photo for your gallery, you can now offer the option to download that high quality image.

Why is this such a new feature? Well by default our applications will resize (but retain the aspect ratio) and optimize all images you upload to ensure your website pages load quickly and that they utilize the least amount of bandwidth for you. This is why full quality images should never be displayed on a web page and with our applications they are still not, but now if you want to still have a high quality photo made available you can.

The downloading of all the Full Quality images are handled by our download manager and are not supplied as a direct link on the page.

Our Photo Gallery Manager allows you to have numerous Galleries configured for which you can upload photos. By default all those galleries are accessible by all visitors.

This new feature now allows you to assign a unique password to each Gallery, so that only people which have the password have access. This can be ideal if you have photos you wish to share with suppliers or customers.

There are two modes for which a password can be applied. You can deny access to view the photo gallery if the password is not entered, or you can deny access to download a Full Quality resolution version of each photo. This way you can allow anyone to view the gallery, but only those with the password can download the full quality versions.
