The Brief
The website design should be based around a furniture theme and look antique.
The colours are to match those of the company. That being Purple and Yellow / Orange.
The ability to manage all products being displayed on the website is required. Additional pictures of the shop inside and outside should be incorporated onto other pages, such as the Home Page.
The Design Details
Creating an antique theme presented no problem and utilizing furniture as the basis of that theme was the chosen idea, however the issue is that the company name (and chosen font and colours) do not really blend in that well as they are considerably more modern looking.
Creating a clean design layout and also incorporating a mixed layout website.
This means that some pages are using a fixed width layout, while others such as the product manager where numerous products are displayed on a single page, is using a variable width layout.
This allows the website to use all available browser / screen width where possible when displaying pages that could potentially include a large amount of content, but then for when a product is displayed, or a page that has a known amount of content is displayed, the website will revert back to a fixed width to ensure continuity and ensure the page is displayed as intended.
This is just one of the features that we can incorporate into any website design. There is no need to be forced into one layout design or another. Where appropriately they can be combined.
